Recommended for the Csound sounds: Csound 6 from https://csound.com/download
For the orchestral instruments (piccolo, flute, clarinet, horn, trombone,
timpani, bass drum, violin, cello): the free VSCO 2 Community Edition,
  SFZ edition 1.1.0, unpacked – https://versilian-studios.com/vsco-community/
For the sound "Gong" (Peter Heeren's own gong recordings): the folder
  "Gong" from jcself-gong.zip at https://www.jcself.de/en/download.html –
unpack it anywhere and choose it once in the tab "Klang" › Gong.

START
Windows: Put the folder JCself somewhere you are allowed to write
(for example "Documents"), then double-click JCself-start.bat.
Mac: Put the folder JCself in "Documents", for example, then
double-click JCself-start.command. If macOS stops the file the
first time: right-click > "Open", or choose "Open Anyway" under
"System Settings > Privacy & Security".
Tested on an Intel Mac with macOS Sonoma. Without the start file,
in Terminal: java -jar and the path to jcself-gipfel.jar.
Without a start file, in the folder JCself: java -Xmx600M -jar jcself-gipfel.jar

On the first start JCself creates the folder "Gipfel-Daten" next to the
program for settings and working files. Details: JCself-Manual.pdf
